More Than Helping Out

This Is Real Ministry.

Elevate exists to help 4th–8th graders grow in their relationship with Jesus and build meaningful connections with older students who can encourage them along the way.

As an Elevate Intern, you won't simply show up and help set up games. You'll learn how to disciple younger students, lead small groups, communicate with families, prepare Bible teaching, plan ministry, and take real responsibility for helping Elevate become better.

The heart of the internship:
Follow Jesus yourself and learn how to help someone younger than you follow Him too.
Elevate students spending time together
Elevate students showing up together
Show Up. Ministry starts with being present.
Elevate students building relationships
Be Known. Build relationships that actually matter.
Elevate students growing together
Help Them Grow. Invest in the next generation.
Your Role

What You'll Actually Do

Disciple Students

Build intentional relationships with the Elevate students assigned to you and make at least one meaningful contact with each student every month outside the Elevate event.

Lead Small Groups

Lead gender-based small groups through discussion, Scripture, prayer, and conversation at Elevate gatherings.

Help Teach

Grow toward opportunities to help teach the large-group Bible lesson alongside Pastor Jon and other ministry leaders.

Plan Events

Help imagine, prepare, set up, lead, and evaluate our monthly Elevate events.

Connect With Families

Introduce yourself to the parent or guardian of each student you serve through an approved group text so families know who is investing in their student's spiritual formation.

Learn Ministry

Spend three flexible office hours each week with Pastor Jon learning leadership, discipleship, event planning, communication, administration, and the behind-the-scenes work of ministry.

We aren't looking for perfect leaders.
We're looking for students ready to grow.
